Progress

Transformational Creation Care (TCC) has been incubated at Park Avenue United Methodist Church since 2017, transitioning now to an independent 501(c)(3).   As part of this ministry we have taught extensively on nature in the Bible in a range of settings.  We have coupled this with practical transformation of the church property, with implementation of LED lights, composting, landscaping, and zoned heating.  We are preparing a trove of content, broadly available online and supplementary materials for those engaged with the ministry.  With the development of this website were are establishing a pathway for people to engage with TCC.

Bible Stories

We tell Bible stories with nature as a character.  We bring it out of the background to highlight its role.  Such storytelling is intended to complement traditional Bible story telling, which focuses heavily on the people.  Our hope is to add layers to the story, seeing traditional stories in new ways.  The below video, entitled “Naboth’s Garden,” tells the story of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel stealing Naboth’s garden from him.  Typical accounts of this story focus on Ahab or Jezebel, whereas we focus on the vineyard.

Elements of Nature

Transformational Creation Care offers multiple types of video content.  These videos are intended as educational tools, for individual viewing and formal studies.  Each video is the result of thorough biblical analysis shaped into a larger story.
